Panel surveys
A “survey panel” is a group of people that have been assembled, filled out a profile, and are willing to share their opinions.
Registered persons on the survey panel of the Institute of the Social Science Research Institute are people of all ages, genders, education, work experience, etc., or in short, people who reflect the Icelandic nation.
Those who are registered on the panel can participate in a variety of online surveys and thus express their opinion on different issues, such as politics, health, welfare, environment, various services, etc. etc.
Why does your opinion matter?
By participating in our survey panel, you ensure that your voice is heard. Without your contribution, our surveys will be less complete. The strength of the panel surveys is that issues are brought to the attention of a wide group of people living in Iceland. In this way, we can see how factors such as the economy and changes in our society affect the lives and well-being of people throughout the country.
Your opinions and your participation are essential to ensure that our research is as accurate as possible.
The information we collect can affect government policy, construction and business services and be used by academics and researchers working to improve your interests.
Privacy and data security
Panel surveys are always anonymous, and the SSRI ensures that responses cannot be traced to individuals. Data security is extremely important to us, and we take all possible steps to ensure that participants' personal information and responses are secure. All data is handled in accordance with the instructions of the Data Protection Authority.
If you have any questions or would like more information about the survey panel or surveys conducted, you are welcome to contact Ævar Þórólfsson, panel leader of the Social Science Research Institute, by email at at@hi.is or by phone at 525 4545.
