National Institute of Public Health
General Overview
The institute was established in 2005. The aim of the Agency is to promote research and information sharing in the field of work, welfare and society. The institute has been an active participant in international research collaboration and a part of the Nordic Center for Excellence in Welfare Studies (NCoE - Nordic Center of Excellence in Welfare Research).
The National Institute of Public Administration has not formally appointed the board, but Stefán Ólafsson, professor of sociology, is its director.
